OXNARD, Calif. (Sept. 11, 2014) — The Collection at RiverPark is launching its School Rewards Program.

The program is an easy and fun way for schools to earn additional funds at no cost to the schools. Kids don’t have to sell anything and parents don’t have to buy anything or write an extra check. They simply shop at The Collection and log their receipts to support their own school.  There are bonus points for attending events, participating in programs at The Collection and even supporting certain community service causes. The Collection Sign

Schools that have already signed up for the rewards program include Camarillo Heights Elementary, Emilie Ritchen Elementary, Harrington Elementary, La Mariposa Elementary, Lemonwood Elementary, Norman Brekke School, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish School, Ramona Elementary, Rio Del Mar Elementary, Rio Del Norte Elementary, Rio Plaza Elementary, Sierra Linda Elementary and St. John’s Lutheran School. The first meeting with participating schools will be held on Friday, Sept. 12.  However, there are spots available for more schools to participate in the program.  For more information, call 800-539-3273.

The Collection also will present its September Kids Club event on Wednesday, Sept. 17 from 10:30 a.m.-noon. The theme of the day is “Learning is Fun.” Performers will include the “Wonderworld Puppets,” who will present famous stories like “The Tortoise and the Hare.” After the show a short magic show and meet-and-greet will take place.

And there’s even more good news for kids. The Collection will present the “Seaside Steamer,” a kid-friendly train that will chug-a-lug throughout the grounds of The Collection on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Cost is $3.
